We are nearing the holidays and the year's end. I'm looking forward to time with my extended blended family and just allowing this season to settle in - mostly because I didn't really see it coming!
What are you looking forward to most as this year draws to a close? Are you looking forward to saying farewell to the last 12 months, or are you ready to gear up and grow into the dawn of a new decade? The good news is that no matter where you've been, you are entirely in charge of where you are going!
What's Your Story? Your Vision Holds the Key
What does the expression hindsight is 20/20 mean? This saying says that "it's easy to know the right thing to do after something has happened, but it's hard to predict the future." I don't agree. We are in control of how we think and so many of the corresponding results. If you're paying attention, in a state of awareness, you will witness the connection. We create our reality from the inside out.
One of the...
We've all been there.
We think on energetic frequencies, and the moment we assign an emotion to a thought (whether that emotion is wanted or unwanted), we immediately create momentum. One thought picks up another just like it, and before you know it, you've imagined a catastrophic event that will likely never happen. Our fears take over and we're down the rabbit hole trying to find a way out.
Fear and faith both ask us to believe in something we cannot see. Why do we insist on choosing fear?
My faith formula
There is a Law of Gratitude, which is one of the universal laws that govern our life in magical and magnificent ways. But how does committing to this essential life elixir, seeing life through the gratitude lens, improve your life today and ripple waves into tomorrow and your future? Gratitude is contagious.
But what does that mean?
We all feel the uplift and altitude of this emotion when we feel joyful and happy. But did you...
I'm thrilled that so many new faces have joined the Art of Authorship Facebook group. If you would like an inspiring group of writers and authors to mastermind with who will support you and help you remain accountable to your goals, you can join us here.
I want to also congratulate all of you who made the decision to participate in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) during the month of November.
I am posting my TOTD (Thought of The Day) LIVE in the Facebook group to encourage our writers to continue. So often, we know deep down that we want to start something new, develop a new habit, but our "paradigm" or belief system controls our behavior. Our old habits of not doing, of remaining comfortable, take over and, we never start the very thing we know we want to do. That is why there is such power in a mastermind, like a Facebook group or the NaNoWriMo initiative, to not just get started, but to KEEP us moving forward.
The start is what stops most...
The month of November is marked on most writers' calendars as their end-of-year push to begin (or finish) writing their book. If you are familiar with NaNoWriMo, you will know how writers use this annual challenge to accomplish their end of year goals, whatever genre they are writing.
What is NaNoWriMo?
"National Novel Writing Month began in 1999 as a daunting but straightforward challenge: to write 50,000 words of a novel during the thirty days of November. Now, each year on November 1st, hundreds of thousands of people around the world begin to write, determined to end the month with 50,000 words of a brand-new novel. You may know this mass creative explosion by the name National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo—but that's not all that NaNoWriMo is!"
I want to support every writer who dreams of publishing their book; sharing their story, growing their brand and business and truly making an impact in the world. It's...

Meet Joey Chandler. He's a purpose coach, video producer, photographer and soon to be author. His forthcoming book Not In My Lifetime, outlines his process for identifying one's purpose in just two questions and then how you can use your life purpose life to address various important areas of life.
He believes that by identifying one's purpose and expanding their ability to share and experience that purpose, one can accomplish whatever goals they decide to achieve; including those that are often accompanied by the caveat, "but that can't happen in my lifetime."
Identifying His Goal in This Lifetime
His book, Not In My Lifetime is based on his Know Your Purpose Program and the reason he's putting almost the entire program in a book is to satisfy his goal to end racism in his lifetime.
He figures racism (along with sexism, homophobia and other biases) simply gets in...
Popularized by Napoleon Hill in his famous book Think and Grow Rich, a mastermind is a group of individuals who come together regularly (either in person or virtually) in order to discuss important personal or business issues and get new perspectives to help you get the results you want in your personal and professional life.
"The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony." ~ Napoleon Hill

The Power of the Mastermind
Napoleon Hill said, “No mind is complete by itself. It needs contact and association with other minds to grow and expand.”
The proper use of a mastermind group is the cornerstone to all great achievement. On our own, we can only ever have a limited amount of experience. A mastermind group allows us to draw freely from the experience, training, skills, and knowledge of others who align with our...
Begin with the end in mind.
“You must imagine yourself right into the state of your fulfilled desire...the world which we describe from observation must be as we describe it relative to ourselves. Our imagination connects us with the state desired. But we must use imagination masterfully, not as an onlooker thinking of the end, but as a partaker thinking from the end. We must actually be there in imagination. If we do this, our subjective experience will be realized objectively. This is not mere fancy, but a truth you can prove by experience...the secret is thinking from the end. Every state is already there as “mere possibility” as long as you think of it, but is overpoweringly real when you think from it.” ~ Neville Goddard

Happy Sunday everyone. I hope you enjoyed a SOUL-FULL day.
Sunday evening is a great time to tap into the feeling of living each day with a little more soul-full intention for the week ahead. It is said that when we know better, we do better, and by taking a few moments at the end (or beginning) of each week to review, reflect and refocus, we are using our thoughts mindfully to ensure we remain the captain of our own personal navigation system.
This week I was fortunate to meet an aspiring author who believes very much in his story. During our call, he expressed regret about the "time it has taken him" to get to this stage of development of his manuscript. This is such a common feeling to have when we have an expectation based on our own sense of time. We interpret a pressure from within, and give ourselves permission to believe the lie that somehow we've in some way procrastinated, or taken "too long" to write. I believe there is no such thing as...
