It's that time of year...again
Black Friday is upon us. I want to take this opportunity to wish a very Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating in my U.S. community.
Best wishes to you and your families for a wonderful holiday filled with blessings in abundance. We all have so much for which to be grateful.
In Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving in October, but Black Friday and Cyber Monday marketing has become the norm here as well. Every year around this time, as I prepare for the coming year, I reflect not only on the speed of each year passing but on my key takeaways in retrospect.
This year has been a banner year in so many ways. For example, on this day last year, my mom was stable; I didn't know she would pass away four days later, on December 1st. If I were to choose the most significant thing that stood out for me in 2019, it would be the lessons I've learned about PERSPECTIVE. So many things that I thought would move in one direction didn't, and the polar...
I'm thrilled that so many new faces have joined the Art of Authorship Facebook group. If you would like an inspiring group of writers and authors to mastermind with who will support you and help you remain accountable to your goals, you can join us here.
I want to also congratulate all of you who made the decision to participate in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) during the month of November.
I am posting my TOTD (Thought of The Day) LIVE in the Facebook group to encourage our writers to continue. So often, we know deep down that we want to start something new, develop a new habit, but our "paradigm" or belief system controls our behavior. Our old habits of not doing, of remaining comfortable, take over and, we never start the very thing we know we want to do. That is why there is such power in a mastermind, like a Facebook group or the NaNoWriMo initiative, to not just get started, but to KEEP us moving forward.
The start is what stops most...

For more than 20 years, my communication company represented businesses, artists, theatre companies, and non-profit organizations and helped them gain attention from various media in order to promote their businesses, product launches, theatre productions, and gala events. In my role as publicist, I invested in personal relationships with the members of the media (necessary), and these media professionals shared their frustration with me time and time again, about the quality of the information they receive in the form of poorly organized presentation, poor grammar, lacking coherence and clarity.
Much of my consulting in those years was to advise on simple and common (not so common) sense ways to avoid what is a major setback before you even begin. It is a stumbling block that can be easily avoided.
Back then, social media was in its infancy, whereas now it is second-by-second commonplac

Meet Joey Chandler. He's a purpose coach, video producer, photographer and soon to be author. His forthcoming book Not In My Lifetime, outlines his process for identifying one's purpose in just two questions and then how you can use your life purpose life to address various important areas of life.
He believes that by identifying one's purpose and expanding their ability to share and experience that purpose, one can accomplish whatever goals they decide to achieve; including those that are often accompanied by the caveat, "but that can't happen in my lifetime."
Identifying His Goal in This Lifetime
His book, Not In My Lifetime is based on his Know Your Purpose Program and the reason he's putting almost the entire program in a book is to satisfy his goal to end racism in his lifetime.
He figures racism (along with sexism, homophobia and other biases) simply gets in...
Begin with the end in mind.
“You must imagine yourself right into the state of your fulfilled desire...the world which we describe from observation must be as we describe it relative to ourselves. Our imagination connects us with the state desired. But we must use imagination masterfully, not as an onlooker thinking of the end, but as a partaker thinking from the end. We must actually be there in imagination. If we do this, our subjective experience will be realized objectively. This is not mere fancy, but a truth you can prove by experience...the secret is thinking from the end. Every state is already there as “mere possibility” as long as you think of it, but is overpoweringly real when you think from it.” ~ Neville Goddard

Meet Shari Reinhart, author, manuscript consultant, ghostwriter and editor.
When Oprah chose her to read from her personal journals on a post-911 November 2001 Oprah Winfrey show about gratitude, that was all the validation Shari needed to start her freelance writing career.
Reading, writing, journaling and imagining outside the box of her traditional upbringing, Shari was born to work her way to higher states of being and connection with like-minded people.
Today, Shari works with aspiring and accomplished authors to put their experience, expertise and excellence out into the world. She does so by infusing all their knowledge with the heart, soul and sometimes vulnerability that people are eager to read these days.
Her pet peeve? When people say, “Hey, I need an editor, anyone know someone?” No! No! No! – never just hire an editor without understanding what editors do.
Editing is a broad a...
